As a family-owned business, with more then 30 years firmly based in Burlington, Mainway Handling Systems is proud to announce we are growing and have moved to a new office and warehouse location at 5353 John Lucas Dr, Burlington, ON L7L 6G5, Suite 101 & 103.
This is our third major move in the three decades since we have been open, and this a true test of hard work and determination by an incredible team at the helm. For many, the last couple of years have been rough with many uncertainties looming but seeing the proliferation of ecommerce and the rise of online ordering due to Covid we decided to shift our course of action. We decided to invest in our own line of Ontario Made 24V automated conveyor seeing a need for quality made automation in the Canadian market. Coupled with our combined decades of experience with complete turnkey systems saw our business grow to new heights.
With our automated line of 24-volt accumulation conveyor being well received we started getting orders for expansive and innovative projects such as the state-of-the-art Exotec Skypod system for Decathlon in Montreal. They used our line of motorized drive roller (MDR) conveyor to feed the massive 40,000 tote robotic AMR picking system that will not only fulfill online orders but distribute and replenish for there retail locations.
In the short time we have been installing our line of conveyor we have been privileged to acquire projects for Carquest, DHL, IKEA, Delmar, Think Logistics, RDL, Royal Distribution, Book Depot and more by providing complete support and management throughout the entirety of the project. Since then, we have also added and developed partnerships with several new dynamic companies in Exotec, , CASI, and Pack Size that has expanded our scope of what we can provide to the ever-changing market.
Seeing where business demands are going, Mainway Handling Systems understood we needed to adapt and stay nimble with Canadians adopting to the changing landscape faster than ever and companies needing to stay relevant with that rapid change of business. Our new office and manufacturing space boast a 10,000 square foot warehouse along with two dock doors that can now house all the custom fabrication we have been commissioned to do. In addition, to stay at this amazing pace, our staff has seen us go from 15 to 25 strong now, with every department seeing a wonderful addition. We have grown our in-house service team with electricians and technicians while adding a manufacturing/production team along with adding a project manager, estimator, and a mechanical designer.
We couldn’t be more excited of our future and again could not be prouder of what this team has accomplished!
